| The long-awaited second album by the highly talented singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Alma Naidu is being released as a CD in a digipack with a 20-page booklet, as well as on LP in a gatefold cover on Leopard.
With her debut album Alma, produced by Wolfgang Haffner, the Munich-born artist reached an impressive number 10 on the GfK Jazz Charts in 2022. The extensively trained, academically educated, and award-winning Alma Naidu had already earned great respect from critics and the media. After more than 250 concerts in a wide range of line-ups (including the Jazzwoche Burghausen, the Nublu Festival New York, and the Leverkusener Jazztage), Alma Naidu now presents her new album Redefine – 13 original songs of great intensity, musical diversity, and lyrical depth, spanning the space between singer-songwriter, pop, and jazz. The arrangements range from classic band settings to string orchestras to intimate solo pieces with vocals and piano. The themes include friendship, love, inner growth, as well as equality and the questioning of gender roles. Featured are high-caliber guest artists such as Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), Raphaela Gromes, Nils Landgren, Jason “JT” Thomas, Lisa Wulff, and Simon Oslender.
