With his second album, the trumpeter and composer, who was awarded the German Jazz Prize 2024, reinforces his status as one of the most promising musicians of the young jazz generation - “All The Others” will be released as a CD in a digipack with a 12-page booklet and as a 180-gram vinyl LP with a printed inner sleeve on Jazzline.
Building on the success of his acclaimed debut “Opening”, the Pforzheim-based artist"s second release is even more mature and versatile. “All The Others” combines influences from classical music, jazz and film music to create a musical work that tells personal stories and touches deeply. Bänsch"s approach is remarkable: “I wanted to musically portray characters and themes that have inspired me personally - from literature, films and series, but also from the real world,” he explains. In addition to his impressive trumpet playing, it is above all the narrative depth of his compositions that makes the album stand out. His working band - pianist Niklas Roever, bassist Jakob Obleser and drummer Leo Asal - displays an almost telepathic musical chemistry. They are complemented by Latvian guitarist Ella Zirina and singer Zuza Jasinska, who lend the album additional sonic nuances. “All the Others” is a remarkable second album, a work that takes its listeners on a moving journey, a bold step into new musical dimensions.
