The rising keyboard talent unveils his third album with an all-star lineup: “All That Matters” is out now on CD (digipack, 12-page booklet) and LP (180-gram vinyl, printed inner sleeve) via Leopard.
Simon Oslender is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young stars of the European jazz scene. Ever since the release of his second album Peace Of Mind—featuring Will Lee and Wolfgang Haffner (whose live band he also plays in)—Oslender has been in the spotlight, collaborating with international icons both in the studio and on stage. With his new album, Oslender fulfills a long-held dream, assembling a world-class lineup: drumming legend Steve Gadd, bass virtuoso Will Lee, and trombone great Nils Landgren (heard on the track “Leaving Paradise”) join forces with alto saxophone prodigy Jakob Manz and groove-driven guitarist Bruno Müller, who appears on several tracks. This top-tier ensemble delivers ten standout original compositions, seamlessly blending Simon’s musical roots in jazz, rhythm & blues, soul, gospel, and funk. Alongside piano, organ, and keyboards, the 26-year-old soloist prominently features his first love—the charismatic Hammond B3 organ. All That Matters is a masterfully crafted album, rich in virtuosic musicianship and effortlessly grooving, high-class sound.
